It could be argued that speeding teens are a danger to society while drug use is a personal crime if he was not using behind the wheel. That said I'm not one for relaxed drug laws and feel the drug dealer will be back in front of a judge while your 17 year daughter might not.

10hrs community service for drug-dealing?.......sounds like bullshit to me.......and you know the black boy will not learn from this; cuz of stereotyping, or you have a crystal ball in front of you? Hell, from your line of reasoning, one might say your daughter can infer that drug-dealing may not be a bad career choice; what with all the light sentencing. She may consider taking that up.......but hey, I am just making a blanketed dumb-ass statement here.......
Oy vey!: I guess I will just go ahead and enter the phrase I know I am going to read at some point in this thread, cuz if you mention black people on this forum, this goes hand and hand: Escalade with 24s.

That's odd, often times drug cases get way more penalized than others.

Yes you did!
As I explained in one of my previous post I do not care if the boy was white, pale, yellow, green or pink with green spots. I agree I should not have said he was black, I was just trying to paint the situation. I did not intend to start any polemic on race. I may have made a mistake saying that but if I have said he was white I am sure nobody would have said anything. The reason I am saying that the boy will not learn from this is because I know. I grew up in some tough neighborhoods of my native country and when I was 14 I had pretty bad company and did pretty bad things. What saved me at that time was my parents (particularly my father) and the police who scared the s@# out of me when I got caught on one occasion doing very stupid things. I could have turned bad and I did not. If I had not being punished and afraid to be even more severely punished when it was still time for me to learn there is no doubt I would have ended on the wrong side.
