1) Probably an irresponsible driver. Won't say more.

2) I'm disturbed by how the passenger door caved in to that extent. BMWs have that "hook" between the door and the door frame that is supposed to prevent the door from being pushed like that into the passenger cabin. Must have been going hella fast for physics to overcome BMW's rigid design (and this applies to much of the damage, not just that door).

If there had been a passenger in that car, he/she'd be dead.
I agree 100% if your tired (as he admitted) your an idiot and a fool not to mention a danger to yourself and others on the road! If your tired pull over, or better yet stay the hell at home and get rest until you can drive. Its people like that that kill thousands on the road every year! If you have to drive when your loaded or tired invest in a bicycle so if you do hit someone you'll only kill yourself and the family with kids in the mini van! My .02

I'm with Matt ... however mean it sounds, in order to lose control of an M3 on a dry day like that, you have to be asking for it.

He says later in the thread that 1) he was tired after a long day, and 2) that he passed someone and then had to get over quickly to take the ramp.

Typical moron over-driving his skill level (and intelligence).

The HPS airbag deployed. However seeing as how it's a rollover, I doubt the frontal airbags would have deployed. Keep in mind there is that occupant sensor that prevents airbags from deploying if the pass. seat is not occupied. And seeing as how the damage/impact was on the right side, the airbags would have made no difference to the driver.
