Who is waiting for iPhone?
Now that we know its releasing on June 29th. Exclusively by AT&T and with 2-year contract.:tsk:

I'll be picking one up.
I already use AT&T/Cingular, so it's not like I have to change networks. |
Being as though I am stuck with VZ I am waiting to see what the LG Prada will be like, looks like it will be a heavy competitor to the iPhone...we'll see. I was going to get the BB 8830 yesterday but decided to hold off to see what else comes out.
|
Very happy with the BB 8800, but we'll give this a try as well.
|
No.
1) AT&T Sucks, so does their customer service 2) Comparable service to my t-mobile plan (4 lines, unlim. messaging, 1400 minutes, bb plan) would run $150+ a month. :thumbdown 3) first year run 4) AT&T sucks 5) I'll never pay $600 for a bloody cell phone, i don't care if it has a friggin' rolls royce emblem on it. |
Gotta have it.......
|
i'll be getting one! and i'm already with cingular/at&t (and have been for the past 8 years) and have had a great experience with them the entire time - no problems whatsoever...
|
I will be at a Cingular (AT&T) Store first thing on the 29th to pick one up, if they have any. Replacing my aging and well-used Treo 650 and maybe my Sony DSC T7 camera (that I carry all the time) and the iPod shuffle that I use for running. I'm hoping that the iPhone's 2 megapixel camera would be good enough for posting images on the net and through the Apple TV.
|
cingular has hooked me up when ever I have asked them. not crazy about the iphone though. fun to play with maybe, but I usually order phones from china before they are released in the US.

Also paid $450 for the Motorola Startac in the late 90's. In my perspective, the iPhone aka iPod/Camera/mini-apple computer/pda/video player/etc.etc. is a bargain. .......and it's a great show-and-tell toy to show my clients and i would gladly give it to them as a gift if they buy/sell their house through me:rofl: |

Here's some info on the LG Prada LG PRADA (LG KE850) $664.95 http://www.phonesource-usa.com/catal...s/LG-PRADA.jpg The LG Prada mobile phone is a collaboration built on the LG KE850 handset. It features an all-touchscreen interface, not unlike another highly-anticipated and well publicized phone. Minimalism is de rigueur for the Prada aficionado, and the LG Prada phone offers a unique black/white GUI (graphical user interface.) This tri-band GSM phone includes a 2-megapixel camera, microSD slot, and Bluetooth. This phone costs less than many a pair of Prada shoes--and people will love to talk about its lineage, which is much more fun than them pretending not to notice the brand of your shoes. Back on-topic... I'll be waiting for one too. Although I really want to hold out for the 3G one, I don't think I'll be able to wait... |

Um not so much.
I am happy with T-mobile and my BB8100. Although it is getting old. I am just afraid of one scratch on the iphone screen and bam you are without a keypad. |

Exactly why I don't have T-Mobile. Coverage where I live is very bad. Answere? Verizon or Nextel. Cingular (our other service) works as well. But then T-Mobile had another interesting irritation. Voice mails arriving 1,2,3 even 4 days late. Needless to say they got the boot.

anyone have word when its comin to Canada and what service, i have a apple laptop and that would make things a whole lot funner, especialyl when my p910i does a crazy job, imagine the iphone!

I am holding off - my integrated Motorola / BMW was orphaned by Rogers last week when they shut down the TDMA network. I will live without for now. |
What about this opinion???
Apple's iPhone Will Fly . . . Then Flounder http://news.yahoo.com/s/zd/20070606/...YC1S4yjd4E1vAI |
believe that early iPhone results will be quite good. There's a lot of pent-up demand for the overpriced phone, particularly among the urban cognoscenti and techno-elites. My unscientific sampling of random Silicon Valley types shows that just about anyone who can't afford a Tesla Roadster has already preordered an iPhone. I believe it's going to sell out pretty quickly. from the article above
ha ha ha eric=urban cognoscenti ps i wonder where kaefer is. this is, of course, HIS thread. iphone iphone i phone. so what does it do? not much, I see. |
What everyone seems to forget to mention is, the number 1 reason why the iphone will be successful is because all of us MAC users who have no good way to sync our computers to our phones (the missing sync and pocketmac are horrible and don't work well..) will finally have a phone that will easily share contacts, calenders, email, etc.
I use a Blackberry now and don't even bother trying to sync it with my MAC anymore. It really is annoying.. So the built in audience for the iphone will be guys (and gals) like me, that want to have a portable cpu, phone on them, that can easily communicate with our laptops or desktops. Since NO ONE else makes anything that works well (plug and play) and all the add on software for the cpu and laptops and phones like missing sync and pocketmac are generally unsupported and don't work very well, I say good riddance. I can't wait for my Iphone. B |
hey b-line, get a p910i, i have a mac and this phone and i can to almost everythin--> start itunes, iphotos, even use it as a remote when i hook my mac to my tv, oh the best part, i can use the touchscreen on the phone to control the mouse on my laptop, thats fkn crazy!
