Trent lott dosen't like talk shows.
Comments by Republican senators on Thursday suggested that they were feeling the heat from conservative critics of the bill, who object to provisions offering legal status. The Republican whip, Trent Lott of Mississippi, who supports the bill, said: “Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem.”
At some point, Mr. Lott said, Senate Republican leaders may try to rein in “younger guys who are huffing and puffing against the bill.” http://www.nytimes.com/2007/06/15/wa...q38uxSRhO18Guw |
Who needs free speech anyway. Lawmakers know what is best for us.
Sarcasm alert. |
Oh you mean this ?

Trent Lott's career was saved by conservative talk radio people like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, when he was inappropriately castigated for a comment he made that was twisted into some sort of racist remark. He is now slamming those same people? Not smart. I predict he has ended his career with that one sentence.
