anyone used the OREGON SCIENTIFIC ATC-2000 HELMET CAM?
hi im shopping for a decent helmet cam. this cam can record at 640x480 @ 30fps (is that good?)
product page http://www2.oregonscientific.com/shop/prod...14&pid=709# any used it? i like it how its in one tiny package. only thing im concerned about is video quality. thanks. |
My brother got one from his wife for Christmas. We played with it in the house and in the garage in the dark with a xenon bike lamp to simulate night riding. I thought it did a pretty good job. I haven't talked to him about the on-trail experience, but it seemed pretty good to me. As far far as 640 x 480 @ 30 fps, that is what many decent quality point-and-shoot digital cameras do, including my Canon SD1000 and I'm happy with the quality of the video.
Costco online sells it (with a 2 GB card) for $119 ... I would get it and if you don't like it take it back. You can play with it for 90 days pretty much risk free. -Jeff Quote:
