AHHHHHHhhhhhHhh..FIOS

Heaven. Got rid of Cox Cable and went for FIOS.

PS: I heard that Verizon in Maryland charges $189 for these kind of speeds. VA has a special deal with Verizon. Not bad for $55/month:thumbup:

Nice! How much Bandwidth is available to your Fios connection ?

Smoke'n!
I wonder what percentage of sites are on E3 or faster connections that will allow you to take avantage of increased speed.

That was the max package available. 30 download, 5 upload. I usually get 24+ Mbps from some sites.

Remember the bandwidth available is useless if you are hitting one site (as most sites are on a slower link or are capped on how much bandwidth you can hog from that site). The link really really shines when you are using torrents or downloading from multiple sites. I have hit close to 28 megs when downloading ISOs using UTorrent.

The screenshot is from a Windows 2003 Server running on a VMWARE ESX 3.x at home. And yes I have VMWARE ESX running at home :)

Do you have their TV service over FIOS as well?

Yes they do but for that to work, you need to use their supplied POC router. I have swapped their router with my Sonicwall.
