How do you guys do it?

I was in Atlanta this long weekend meeting my birth family and attending Atlanta Gay Pride

Beautiful City, amazing how lush it is!

and Um no drinking on sunday? HORRIBLE

Overall great time

but my question, how the HECK do you guys deal with that friggin heat/humidity?

It's horrible! Do you just get used to it or something?

What heat?

Seriously, I think you do get used to it - yesterday it was 95 degrees here with an equivalent humidity. No sweat (pun completely intended!).

BB,
That's why mountains were invented...
altitude has some advantages.

I hear you; we were in NJ last week and
it was warmer and muggier than it was
here in NC, even down below us in the flatlands.

you get to used to the weather in Florida, then you move to Atlanta, where it feels like a "dry heat" in comparison.

Bo,

I am very fair skinned and used to not be able to tolerate the heat. Then after graduation from undergrad, I moved down to Florida to start a business with my bro and couisin who were already there.

I thought the heat was going to kill me. But literally, after two weeks, you just get used to it. It doesn't bother you at all anymore. Then you actually begin to love it. -- And this goes for EVERYONE who lives there. The only people who complain about the heat and humidity are the people that visit. The residents are quite happy.

(btw, that is assuming of course, their homes have a/c and they don't have to sleep in it.)

I wear my hair curly instead of straight  Humidity is great for my curls. It's not bad up here. Now south Florida in August...that's humitidy.

My first experience with humidity?. Tarrytown NY. Changed clothes 4 times in one day. Couldent believe it.

Pffft, you're all rookies. :nanana:

Ride ANY NY Subway in August.

You ain't felt humidity until you've accomplished that feat.

carry on.

Yup get used to it. Think ATL is bad, should try Charleston SC in the summer.
