Question about Bi-Xenon lamps
Do they grow dim as time passes? I know it's just my imagination but they don't seem as bright as they use to be.
probably more so a result of the plastic housing getting faded by road dust and such, much like a windshield does.
not for me....
Not an issue with mine as of yet.

Your housing mights not look particularly cloudy, but if you put your X5 next to one that has been a garage queen, or even just a new BMW with new plastic you'll see the difference. When I had my X3, I never thought the lenses were cloudy, and then after my accident and I got new headlamps - the difference was night and day... |
Grab some Flitz or Novus Stage one and two plastic polish...you will notice a tremendous difference

So we need SuperGreg's X5 to compare lights!

actually on wikipedia it says xenon lights go dimmer when its get old.
well if that were true then BMW would be hearing serious complaints from 2002+ BMW's since most carry Xenon's IMO.
I've seen late '90s model BMWs (5ers and 7ers) with the xenons. They still look fine. Admittedly back then the headlights weren't all clear and its not a bi-xenon (high beams are halogen), but its not like it's particularly dim in anyway.
