The looks got me first. I needed a ride ASAP as Chrysler was buying me out of the Jeep from hell. I thought the X5 was, and still is, the best looking SUV/SAV on the street. The Acura MDX had just come out and the dealer laughed at me when I said I needed one right away. I looked at the Lexus RX330 and then went to the BMW dealer. I test drove a 2001 3.0 and was ready to deal but hated the thought of someone pulling up next to me at a light with more horses than me. I picked up my 2001 4.4 in May 2001.

LOL... BMW's and MB's are more common than honda/toyota in the bay area... 650's = "have nots" haha

I'm just a BMW fan, I've had 4 or 5 and never not had one since my first 323ci. I don't really care about "status" or "performance" because there are far faster cars out there for less money, and far more sophisticated rides. I just like BMW's. And even when I had my 911 I thought "this isn't nearly as quick as my 350Z" :)

There are just too many people with money, I routinely see 2 or 3 Bentley drops on the road every day :tsk: Why am I not in one??? :)

335i = haves!! haha.. :) BTW, the 335 got some custom upgrades... it's putting way more power than the CS..

WTF, like I ever weighed 120lbs soaking wet and could only bench 100lbs :) haha.
