Fine, I'd love to know how you see that being applied.

I understand where your going and i appreciate you position but let me clarify i don't presume to have any moral laws that i am personally have written.

I do know that no matter how hard you try, you can’t avoid the reality of a moral law.

I can ride down that same highway, the same grocery store, the same beach and see many demonstrations of moral law. So there's no need for me to write them down as they are already embeded in us as humans.

Respect others is a nice notion, however for the most part it is not practiced. Take a ride down any highway and you will see numerous instances of this, or go to a mall, or go to the beach, or go out in public.

WOW, that is a leap. Got that everyone, we all have the same moral law encoded in us because we are humans. I agree that people should be expected to have morals however, I would not expect them to be used as the guiding light of society......

Quicksilver 07-12-2007 05:28 PM

I think you already know how it's being demonstrated. No need for me to tell others about your fine qualities.

wtf? just backing out all together?

Quicksilver 07-12-2007 05:30 PM

Never. The truth is never a retreat.

Wagner 07-12-2007 05:32 PM

:wow:

The truth huh, truth according to whom? I guess to throw back to your topic, it seems it's okay to have the porn showing..there shouldn't be a formal rule against it...however the person should know not to show it...and as a result those around the person should simply mention to the person they don't approve and go on their way.....that's cool..and we will all have socialized medicine too

I'm all for not having to make rules because people would come correct, however...that is fantasy land.

the head 07-12-2007 05:38 PM

SO lets make more laws because we need more government involvement in our lives and affairs...while we are at it lets sue somebody I am sure there would be a lawyer that would want to take up the flag on an alligation of moral distress as long as there was a profit involved...

Quicksilver 07-12-2007 05:42 PM

NO actually lets confirm. It is not OK in my view to have the porn showing period. Therefore there would be no need for a formal rule against it, no need to remind a person that they should not show it, and therefore no need for anyone to mention to the person they don't approve and finally no need for the article to be written. But the fact that the article was written it's a clear indication that many are concerned about the issue. As you have said and i agree with........

"I'm all for not having to make rules because people would come correct, however...that is fantasy land."

Still if we can encourage at least one person a day to as you say to "Come correct" what an accomplishment that would be.
