I didn't say we shouldn't help them. What I said is that we should not help them unconditionally. There should be conditions that they work towards a 2-state solution, and the aid we give them should be based upon that.

And as for their "hostile, neighboring countries", we give aid to all of them too except for Syria. We give almost as much aid to Egypt as we do to Israel. So all this aid we give all of these countries, including Israel, should be with conditions attached.

We should not give "unwavering support" to any country.

Bottom line, Israel gone without the US. The UN is a joke, always has been, without US support.

Not to overlap some of our unrelated posts here, but does it bother you that your tax money pays for Israelis to have universal socialized health care and not your own?

And don't say that our aid doesn't go to their health care, because money is money. If they spend their money on socialized health care instead of on military, and our tax money goes to pay for their military, then we are basically paying for their health care.

And BTW, their health care system is also better than ours. At least our money goes to good work over there. :thumbup:

Good Lord, totally subjective. I'm sure you can throw up stats and wiki's that support your claims...but until you personally go to Israel, get injured, go to the hospital and are cured for FREE then return to the US have the same injury and are not helped......it really isn't worth discussion.

No, I don't have a problem with my tax money going to that. I have more of an issue to my tax money going to countries like China. We give countries bulk loads of cash, that's fine, at least Israel actually does..ah...things for us.

Yes Eric. It is horriffic that a country like Israel, whose citizenship is largely compromised of holocaust survivors, their heirs and all the other Middle Eastern and European Jews who fled religious persecution, ethnic cleansing and other atrocities.. Should have something like universal, socialized health care.

- Because they left Germany and Austria and Poland and Egypt and Iran, with bags full of money, investments, property, heirlooms, etc. -- They have so much and we have so little. We should be jealous of how lucky they have it there.

Actually, I believe Israel has a higher average standard of living than does the United States, and a higher Median family income as well.

I just find it strange that you don't mind your tax money going to pay for Israelis to have free health care, but you are so against your tax money going to pay for health care for your own fellow Americans.
