Advantage in the competition: As the article mentioned; "One official was reported to have opposed Pistorius' involvement in able-bodied races on the grounds that it could pave the way for athletes to compete wearing jet-packs on their backs."

I understand that, but in this case he didn't actually have an advantage.
However, I see where they're going with this. But, wouldn't they be discriminating in not allowing him to participate though? |
Not sure; but remember the disabled Golfer ( a while back) who said he needed to ride in a cart to do his gold round. The others protested because they said fatigue from walking was part of the game and that would give the disabled golfer an advantage. In this case it appears that regular folks with out bionic limbs feel that this is not a level playing field.
