OMG! OMG! I EMAILED STEVE JOBS AND GOT A FREE NEW COMPUTER!!!!!!
OMG! I just got a call from the Apple Store, and it was their senior ASM, who contacted me about an email that I sent to corporate about my "troubled" experiences with my Apple iBook G4 and with my Apple Store, who was not great. I got a call from this lady, and she wanted to know specifically what the store did wrong, and I didn't really want to be mean so I said sometimes they "dropped the ball" or were a bit lazy when checking the computers.
So, this is pretty much exactly what she said" "Now, which iBook do you have?" me: "the 14' in' "And how much did you pay for it? me:"about $1200" "Ok, now what I can do for you is, if you bring your computer over here, I can give you a brand new MacBook, or use that credit towards the MacBook Pro, anytime you would like. You can walk into the store today, and walk out an hour later with a MacBook" me: *speechless* Wow, that is so kind and generous of you! Thank you so much for that offer! I was thinking of getting a new computer when Leopard comes out, is you generous offer stil valid at that point in time? "Yes". me:" thank you so much! I will probably be in around october then. Thank you for your kindness and generousity!" WOW!!!! :wow: Sure, maybe they hate me now, since I sent a letter to corporate, saying they suck, (sent to [email protected]), and how they are "horrendous", but oh well, I tried to make it up to her over the phone saying it wasn't the staffs fault, "just that they were overworked, and I know the staff is good, just sometimes spotty" :wow: Ok, so I can probably get the middle macbook, white, for free, but I don't really like the glossy 13'' low res screen, and I'd much rather have an MBP, and since that I can take off 1,299, I get get a brand spankin' new MBP with leopard for $599!!!! Yeah!! |
Maybe this is a key reason Apple gets the highest customer satisfaction rating among computer manufacturers... they'll try to make it right when they screw up :thumbup:

exactly....I'm sorry that I got their store in trouble (im sure somebody got scolded) but yay for me! Right after leopard debuts I'm getting it!

thats pretty impressive, now if Verizon could get the picture and treat their customers with same respect, hell add every other manufacturer to the list of irresponsible. Glad they've saved face and retained another happy customer, remember an Apple a day keeps the geeksquad away :)

I wish BMW would do that. Replace every instance of "Apple Store" with "BMW" and "iBook" with a BMW model name, and I'd be a pretty happy man.

How true, Today I'm going to another Apple Store training class. Hope my brain doesn't explode.
