Time for a POLL
Lets do a poll to see how many fellow drivers help other drivers by blinking their high beams to alert other drivers of cops hiding around the corner:thumbup:
Hmmmm... Where are the poll buttons?
Quote:
...never heard of anyone doing that...
at least where i am... |
I do!
thank you jragan!
at least I am not the only one curtious driver out there. I do see nowadays people in this country are no longer self-consious and ignorant to others and are catching up to the rest of the world WE NEED MORE PEOPLE LIKE YOU!!! |
POLE added!
I do flash high-beams to opposing traffic to warn of a speed-checking police officer, provided that prevailing road and traffic conditions permit. (I won't high-beam if there is a car right in front of me that might interpret my actions as aggression)
I do and appreciate it when other drivers do it for me.
I always do it!!!
I do, on freeways and big two lanes...
I suspect the "avg driver" rarely sees my flash or, notices. They all busy with IMs, cell phones, watching TV, Crackberries, et al. |
I do it on the interstates and the like. I agree with MD, most people other than the truck drivers probably have no clue or are too preoccupied to take notice.
Depends on the situation as others have noted. But, I do do it on occasion
Usu always if possible.
Concur - if safe/possible, I do.
Wish there were many many more people like you guys on the roads
:) |
nobody ever does that here. Usually a flash of the highbeams means "turn your highbeams off, buddy!" So no, I don't do it. :)
I used to, a long time ago. It's not worth getting a ticket myself now, I let them get caught. I have often seen a radar trap in one direction, and a cruiser going the other way picking off those warning of the radar. While you can fight a ticket for interfering with a police officer, it just isn't worth the trouble IMO.
