off to greece... communication options?
 

hey everyone-

well it's that time of year again- i'm off for another quick eurotrip!

taking the same lufthansa flight 459 that i took last august to munich en route to prague, this time en route to athens! leave 11 aug from sfo, returning 22 aug.

so it's 2007: what are my best (read: cheapest and most usable!) options to easily get in voice contact with everyone back home? skype? rent a phone over there? i'm thinking simply webcam via laptop is the best, no?

anyway our itinerary is:

12-15 aug: i check out area surrounding athens

15-18: my buddy joins me and we visit acropolis and head out to for a day trip or two

18-21: mykonos!

21-22: back to athens

22: return home

if your phone is sim free and not locked to any network buy a Sim Card they are cheap as chips and on PAYG.
