Each state is different, so you better check with a lawyer or insurance agent who is familiar with local laws. Good luck with the claim, and I hope everything works out. Accident claims are such a pain to go through, but at least you weren't hurt.

Laura. Since it is not your fault. You should not have to take a penny out of your pocket. The other insurance company will pay for your rental 100% for the entire time it takes to fix the car as long as the car is not just sitting in the autobody without anyone working on it.
They have to pay. Also they should have been no dollar amount limit on the rental either. They should have given you a luxury car as close as they have to an X5.

The things you mentioned are if the accident was your fault. At least thats how it works in CT

YES...keep receipts of ALL of your out-of-pocket expenses and submit them to the other insurance co. after all is said and done to get reimbursed. Hopefully they won't give you a problem...they shouldn't!
