College student escorted off Southwest flight because of the way she was dressed.
Earlier this summer, Kyla Ebbert, a student at San Diego Mesa College, was escorted off a Southwest airplane by a customer-service supervisor who told her that her outfit was inappropriate. The ensemble in question? “A white denim miniskirt, high-heel sandals, and a turquoise summer sweater over a tank top over a bra,” according to The San Diego Union-Tribune. Ms. Ebbert eventually made it back onto the plane, where she covered her legs with an airline blanket, but only after putting up a fight. On Wednesday a columnist for the Union-Tribune recruited some “fashion advisers” to weigh in on Ms. Ebbert’s outfit, which she obligingly donned for the newspaper. Their verdict: “nothing you don’t see on a college campus.” This is what she was apparently wearing. http://www.signonsandiego.com/uniont...s/braun220.jpg More here and here. -Jeff |

was she going commando?

Uh, if I was on the plane, I would volunteer to occupy the seat next to her so that no one would have to be offended! :)

Southwest needs to fire Ned Flanders as their customer service supervisor.

I remember when SW first crawled onto the airplane ride scene
with stews composed of early 20 sumpin' babes in micro hot pants and tight bustier style blouses, lil' hats and knee high boots, lol! These flying bus lines are all taking themselves way too seriously, imo. Sorry for the dbl post...the site is really slow/glitchy today for me. |
What's next...Burka's for women in public.
I'll think twice about flying Southwest now. |
I've seen worse than that... and I'm on a plane (mostly southwest) at least 3 times a week!!
