Troopers, interesting story
A rep came into the office and told me that she was caught speeding 20 mph
over the thruway limit. When the trooper first walked up behind the small SUV, he slammed his hand against the rear of the SUV startling the rep and she assumed that he was really pissed. She asked why he did this and he ignored her and went through the regular questioning. He kept her on the side of the road for 25 minutes and when he came back he told her that he could not give her a ticket because the printer in the patrol car was not working (no more little handwritten tickets, 2 page computer generated tickets now). He then told her that he slammed the rear to "prevent anyone from escaping the car from the rear" and also to leave finger prints on the car. She did not offer to help fix the printer. Fred |

DrFred,
Good for your friend, in both cases! |
regarding your apparent puzzlement
"huh?"
There has been quite a few troopers wounded and some killed over the last 6 months and it appears that the troopers want to leave some evidence on the cars that they pull over |
No offense, but if a trooper was unprepared to do his job, then hit my car with that much force, I'd take it to a forensic body shop and send any damages to the governor.
Or at least the detailing bill :p |
