Something You Don't See Everyday...

We finally got some rain here in the Mtns of far western NC
yesterday, and up popped a rainbow, as the sun was setting. I grabbed one of my digicameras and clicked away, as it only lasted about a minute. It turned into a Double Rainbow as it faded...my mistake was the typical amateur's one of having left it on Aperture priority, (as I like to shoot long depth of field shots of our views), and trying to focus the sumbitch was nearly impossible; focusing on photons that are refracted and a long, long ways away is not what "focusing" is all about. I shoulda left the cam on Auto and let the 'puter figure it out. So, the quality is barely so-so and I'm disappointed in what could have been some great shots. It is what it is... The few pre-dindin glasses of '96 Nuits-St-Georges Burgundy probably didn't contribute to the skill sets, either. I tossed in a recent sunrise to remind ya'll of what some mornings look like from our deck here at 5K feet altitude. Thanks for looking. ;) BR,mD |
