Just for sh!ts and giggles, I decided to revisit the ol' roadtoad forums ...

Clicked on the X5 forums there, and found many links over to xoutpost.com :D

This is how to fix your rear lamp assembly in case the BMW dealer has not provided you an updated lamp assembly under warranty and/or you don't feel like buying a new lamp assembly out of pocket.

It's a simple step by step procedure with pics.
