Way to go Allstate

I got a letter in the mail today.

Date of letter: September 30, 2007
Date of loss: July 28, 2007

"We have received the above claim and have begun working on it....Losses are always difficult but rest assured we will work to make the claim process smooth and resolve the claim promptly."

"A substitute vehicle may be needed while waiting for completion of repairs. If our investigation finds we are liable for the accident we will contact you regarding alternative transportation needs"

I'm so glad I went through my insurance company. I would have been battling with these morons. Anyone needing insurance, I highly recommend Progressive. I was back on road late August.

You're in good hands.....if you don't mind waiting.

I use progressive for my work vehicle and geico for personal. Like them both just fine thus far.

I guess that's their stand, they just have good hands.

SuaveX5 10-10-2007 08:04 AM

I have Allstate and they resolved my problems very fast, maybe I just got lucky:goodluck:

I'm not surprised - you're (your insurance company) is trying to get money from them.

Of course they're slow. Think of it as a rebate!

allstate has been extremely quick with a couple of instances. Some as quickly as in the body shop, check in hand, etc in 24 hours. Just because you got a letter doesn't mean they are slow...

:iagree: When I totaled my '04 X3, they were REALLY good about getting everything taken care of, and getting me a check quickly. But, unfortunately, it doesn't always work the same for everybody! :nanana:

No skin off my back with them dragging their ass. I'm whole. Maybe they give priority to their insured's claims.

seems to be the common denominator.

Several years ago when I was getting my first insurance policy, I decided to go around to several local body shops and ask them which insurance companies were easy and quick to deal with and which ones were a problem. Without exception, every body shop owner said AllState and State Farm were the best. I was told they simply write a check and will often pay more afterwards if the body shop finds more damage while doing the repairs. On the other hand, every single body shop told me to steer clear of Geico as they always try to bargain and will often only pay for used parts.
