Wagner completely blew his point with that.

I was in agreement 'til he pulled the Wiki card...

This is stupid.

A key NATO ally, democratic nation, and our only true Muslim nation friend.

rebound 10-10-2007 04:01 PM

What, that they killed that many Armenians, or that we won't condemn them for it (even after 90 years)?

Aimster 10-10-2007 04:30 PM

who are we to condemn them for it? Sad that this is what our politicians are debating when they should be focusing on other measures.

We haven't exactly been great people either.

You don't have to steal a car to condemn grand theft auto.

You also aren't prevented from condemning it if you're in jail for 15-20 for GTA.

As for my opinion on it, I would not say anything that I haven't already said a thousand times.....

Of course it was genocide, and of course the country who did it is angry that they are being accused of doing it.

Perhaps Turkey's parlament should pass a resolution condeming the genocide of Native Americans during the 17th-19th centuries. Or even easier, perhaps they should pass a resolution condemning the current war in Iraq and the murder of over 600,000 civilians.

And perhaps someone can pass a resolution condemning the genocide going on right now in Sudan, or the genocide that took place in Rwanda a dozen years ago.

Or perhaps someone can pass a resolution which calls for some sort of action, instead of these meaningless resolutions which do nothing more than allow some politicians to get their pictures in the newspaper. Maybe then we could actually prevent genocide.

So just to be clear...

You really believe the United States has "Murdered" 600,000 Iraqi civilians?
