Food for thought

I was just thinking about the many post I read regarding features on BMW's that are not offered on US models, but are offered in other regions of the world. Here's my question...how often would you use the options and features you so crave? I'm talking about things like high beam assist, and rear fog lights. Not the technology things that are developed after your purchase. ie...improved x-drive or a 6 speed tranny. If any of you are like me, hell I don't use half the stuff I have now...heated seats in Houston...once or twice a year, Voice recognition, once or twice a year, Navigation system, really...five or six times a year. (Although I keep the map up all the time), Hill Descent and Pathway lighting ...never and both of my X5's came with these feature. Don't get me wrong, I'm a bells and whistles kind of guy, but at the end of the day, do we really want these things, or do we want to say we have them? Just a thought for the group to ponder........Phil

Better to have and not need, then to need and not have. Preference is personal. ;)

OK you gotta explain that comment.

I agree, it is personal preference. I'm not knocking what one may desire, just curious to know how many of us would really use all of the "Stuff" you can add to a vehicle these days.....Phil

Jeez! Stop complaining about having too much stuff. Even if you use it once or twice it means it came in handy :)

Personally I use everything I ordered often and didn't order things i knew i would be of little use to me. Things like cold weather package, headlamp washers.

If you read, I don't think I'm complaining at all. It was a thread intended to spark intelligent thought. Those that post about not having in the U.S. are closer to complaining....wouldn't you say:confused: .....Phil

The dictionary describes wuss as "a weak or ineffectual person (often used as a general term of abuse)." Where does the wuss part come in???
