Does this look suspicious?

I emailed this guy about this 530i, which is at a damn good price: $16750. When i enquired about the car, this is the reply I got. What do you guys think?
I have received your email regarding my 2002 BMW 530i Sedan 42k Miles.
The car is in perfect condition, with no scarches on it, no dammage.
The price for the car with Shipping INCLUDED. I have a good reason for this car low price. I'm located in LONDON UK with my son who will suffer a neck surgery and the doctors did some preasures on my head. I've decided to sell it in US at a price that will find a buyer in a few days .

All the manuals and the original documents are in English.
It is made for US market and has US specs on it (speedometer in miles). The buyer will receive this along with all papers and recipts that he needs to register it in his name.
The finacial part of this deal will be manage by SquareTrade.

They are acting like a third party in this deal. Since this deal will be made using a THIRD PARTY to help us closing this deal, I prefer honnest buyers.

Anyway, if you want more details about this deal, please reply with the following informations:
-Your full name;
-Your shipping address;

I will look for your email, so that we can move forward with this deal!
VIN # is WBADT63492CH93682

Regards
David

Yes, it seem suspicious. Even if you take the information as truthful, I wouldn't want to deal with it. Too much hassle. But again, it sounds suspicious.

The "English" sucks, as does the grammar, and the Ann Landers sob story sounds like real bs; even legit firesale ads in US don't usually include that kind of far fetched detail...and, he's gonna ship from the UK to you in IL? All for less than 17K??? He could toss it in merry ol'England for better than that, even with the left hand drive,imo.
I'd toss the email and get on with other "looks".

That was what I was picking up on. I'm sure the "THIRD PARTY" would be someone who would offer to overpay the buyer with a fraudulent instrument like a bank draft, and ask the buyer to refund the difference less some "convenience fee" or other show of feigned generosity.

Damn thieves! I recently read about a new twist on Nigerian scams where they prey upon lonely singles on dating websites and develop relationships via e-mail for the sole purpose of eventually asking for money. Unfortunately there are enough suckers out there for it to be profitable.

Yeah, very shady. WHY would he want to sell it in the US anyway? Even if he did get $16,750 US dollars for it, thats only 9,460 british pounds, which in Euroupe is not worth too much.

yep this sort of thing has been going around the Uk for about a year now DEFF SCAM stay well clear!!!

Say it with me: BS

Everytime I sell a car on AutoTrader I get an e-mail from one of these guys...I assume this is just a role reversal.
