Back then it was a revolutionary car, and was remarkable to drive. Major innovations and revolutions: mid-engine, all aluminum body/frame/suspension, Variable Valve Timing, etc. And it was reliable. All this in a single vehicle.

I had a NSX, and I can tell you that the Europeans have never been able to make a car that has the "driving feel and soul" of that. :nanana:

Seriously, I have driven everything in that price range including every porsche model under $100k, Corvettes, the various BMW models, Audis, etc. And none of them have the feel of the NSX.

The only one that comes close is the Lotus Elise, but it takes me about 5 minutes just to contort my body properly to get into that car -- obviously I could never drive that as my daily driver which I did with my NSX.

NSX = Honda civic + Coilovers + typeR brakes + b16c 16v typeR motor.

It does look a little better.

I had two NSX's over the years. Had more driving fun in the civic,as described much more. I now drive a 993 tt. Also a better car. Have been driving and racing cars well before you were born. Bikes also 1/4 mile and slalom.

I've driven more than a few race prepped civics, and NSX's..so I can confidently say that you're full of crap. You liked a Civic more than a mid-engine aluminum RWD car. ok. Try harder next time.

First of all your taking my first comment a little hard for some reason.

Second in my opinion I had more fun in my civic which had a 97 Acura type r motor,brakes,trany, koni coilovers and 17 inch rims. Then I did in my stock 92 nsx. The nsx looks allot better but performance wise I enjoyed the civic more.

If you do the math with the horsepower to weigh ratio they might have been close but with the coilovers and the type r brakes the civic was more fun. Not to mention $50,000 cheaper.

when the NSX first came out, the first 2 years of its existence it was garbage. It was burning through tires like crazy just from normal driving because there were problems with the rear suspension.
