How'd your Black Friday go?
 

Well, mine sucked at first. I woke up at 4 to get ready to go to CC. Before that, I turned on the computer and what do you know, a Logitech MX ($100 mouse) for $7! Bu the time I go to check out, it is done and I couldnt place my order. At Circuit City, I waited in line for 1.5 hrs in the cold (NJ) and when I went inside, there was really nothing left. I only bought 2 - 3pack Mini-DV tapes for 17. I went to office depot, but they were out of everything good. Sadly, I went home and turned on my computer and I found:

All in all, I was disappointed by the lame deals this year...

mine went great, i hung at my friend's house, drank wine and ate pizza and didn't get anywhere near a mall or retail store.

Total scam...Most of the advertised deals to get people into the store consist of one or two items in stock. The rest you can find on-line or during every other sale up until Christmas.

I can't understand why anyone would wait in line for hours to "possibly" save a few bucks. My time is valuable even when it is spent sleeping.

Rolled out at 6:30 for an hour walk with the CEO,
did a lil' painting in the guest bath, chased the ball
with our good friends/neighbors at 10:00 ish, came
home and painted a 2nd coat in the john, had pork
roast on the Barbie, with a '01 Argentine Malbec,
watched the first 2 new shows of the Dexter season
on VOD, and gonna toddle off to read Richard Ford, in
the rack.

On topic: another neighbor was gonna get in the CC line
for some 46" flat screen at half off; she was going at
fookin midnight, last night. Didn't hear if she copped it or not.

I might go camp out for a weekend with Nicole Kidman
and a free new Vette or, a $mill or two, but otherwise
no fookin way. The mob scenes on the Nat'l news were
almost the epitome of America gone berserk, imo: over
spent ccs in hand, chasing the WalMartNation gotta have
the new junque "for my kids", lmao! One could not make this
stuff up.

Shop hard and keep the ol'econ simmering...

Stayed in all day catching up on loose ends around the house. Took a few moments to watch people on the news "literally" stampede and stomp others on the way to those irresistible deals. :rolleyes:

I never do the early morning thing on Black Friday. Waste of time, as stores intentionally put limited units for door busters.
Woke up at 8 am and relaxed around and then went out for little bit and came back and slept. :)

Woke up, went to the gym, relaxed!!!!
