The Bullitt is back
http://www.nydailynews.com/services/..._return_i.html
Four decades after Steve McQueen's 9-minute Mustang chase sequence in "Bullitt" paved the road for all subsequent film car chases, you'll soon have your chance to own your own private eye-mobile. The 2008 Bullitt arrives in dealers early next year, with a starting MSRP of $31,075 including destination and delivery. It's not going to be mass-produced, either, making it a collector's item no matter what sales are like; only 7,700 units will be built for the U.S. and Canada. It 's an ironic launch, given that when the movie was filmed, the crew removed all exterior badges and logos from the car − including the iconic pony badge on the grille. "The 2008 Mustang Bullitt, like the movie car, is a wolf in sheep's clothing," says Doug Gaffka, chief designer. |

Hey, if Ford can make a bunch of money charging an extra few thousand for a car with an extra $5.77 worth of badging and stripes on it, then more power to them!
ET Barnum's famous quote comes to mind here. |
I understand your point but if your referring to PT Barnum, here the real deal.
P. T. Barnum is most often associated with the circus sideshow and the display of freaks. While this is true, he is also the founding force behind one of America's most famous circuses: Barnum & Bailey Circus. Barnum is also affiliated with the famous quote "There's a sucker born every minute." History, unfortunately, has misdirected this quotation. Barnum never did say it. Actually, it was said by his competitor. http://www.historybuff.com/library/refbarnum.html Quote:
