ML63 AMG

Thinking about selling the X5 and getting a MB '08 ML63 AMG. It sure is a sweet looking ride. I've seen two in person over the past couple of days and the vehicle can't really be appreciated until it is seen in person.

Supposedly, it's not even being marketed to compete against the X5 4.8, which is considered in a lower class.

I guess I've never understood the appeal of a vehicle like that. Having a 4 wheel drive SUV seems logical if you want a vehicle that can get around in bad weather. But when you take that vehicle and then put tires on it like you would find on a Dodge Viper, you kill that ability. So then why not just get a sports sedan which will handle better and get better gas mileage? :dunno:

There is a board member who bough one and has done extensive posting on the vehicle. Search and check out what he has to say .....

Thanks for the heads up on the search...never ocurred to me to do a search here for this and I never expected to find so much discussion about ml 63 on this board from over the past year. All good stuff, no matter which way the discussions or opinions go, X5 vs. ML63.

I have driven one, its a MONSTER.
I would also not compare it to a 4.8is.

No 179 deduction on a sports sedan

Beast, probably because it would destroy the 4.8.

Did you read the last paragraph where it mentions pricing?
