Although the Movado isn't my first choice of watches, it is significant to me because it's the first time I've received a gift from my mother since I moved out of my parents house over 10 years ago (when I was 14!). It would mean a lot to her if I took her out to dinner and wore it, so I think I'll hold on to it. I'll just keep saving until I can afford the Omega - hopefully I'll actually be comfortable wearing it every day (aka not too worried) after waiting so long for it. :rofl:

It gets a lot of wrist time. At first glance, it looks very similar to the Rolex Paul Newman Daytona: (Which now sell for north of $50k-$60k)

I agree with the above posters. Also don't rule out pre-owned. There are many reputable dealers out there and the savings can be substantial.

You can also checkout timezone and watchnet both have a trading posts but if your a novice be cautious, know who your dealing with and check them out. Watchnet has a forum where you can post and get feedback regarding dealers.

Wow that Speedmaster is a beautifu watch I wish I would have known about it before I purchased my Breitling Navitimer Olympus.

I'm not sure if you are referring to my Speedmaster or Sanguru's, but there both beautiful, THANK YOU.. No fret though LJNLAW, the Breitling Navitimer Olympus is also a stunning watch.

If it's any consolation, the Speedmaster I own, is no longer in production. They only made it for two years. So even though you can probably find it on the secondary market, there's little to no chance you would find a new one.

They did however make 3 NEW versions of, the Michael Schumacher, THE LEGEND. But the color of mine, (Bone and Red) was not reproduced.

Although I do have a couple of Brietling and Omega watches

While Omega and Brietling are great watches I find after a while of continued wear it bugs me how all that stainless steel starts to look worn and scratched.

I much prefer a leather strap watch :thumbup:
