I was listening to the reports on the car radio this morning. Good thing nobody was seriously hurt. That's why I always wear my seatbelt regardless of what the seatbelt light indicates. Flying over the Rockies can be a bit dicey sometimes.

Turbulence can be scary stuff, especially when objects start flying loose. Not to mention the odd sensation in your stomach. Is there something about the wind patterns over the Rockies? I've been on cross-country plane trips numerous times without event. :dunno:

I flew on Air China for the first time on my first trip to that country, and their pilots need better skill. As if their old, crowded aircraft weren't enough, the pilots have to jolt it around about 10 times before landing the plane with a crash or bang. I flew them on 4 segments during the trip and none of them were smooth landings.

Flying CAAC was one of the scariest experiences I've ever had. I knew it was a bad sign when I could smell live chickens during boarding and my seat back was broken and would not remain upright. I vowed never to fly in China ever again.
