Must be nice to live in a country where you don't get your @ss beat for something like that. Guess that is why I don't live in that area. That is a disgrace to all the soldiers in US History that have died to preserve their rights IMO.

I didn't even consider applying to that school. Berkeley, and California in general, is a bit too um..........."much" on the freedom of expression for my tastes.

It's a great school and 97% of the people who attend have nothing to do with idiots. Much of these kinds of disturbances are stirred up by outsiders. So don't be swayed by what you see. People out here don't give them a second thought.

That's why it's known a "Bezerkley". Pinkos!!!

I blame the city council for the inflammatory remarks and using this "issue" for their own petty agendas. They are risking losing some federal funding over this, I think, and well they should. If you don't want a federal government recruiting office in your city then I guess you don't want any federal government money either. Suck on that!

Martin Luther King Jr. said it best:

"the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today -- my own government"

Unfortunately, his words still hold true today. :damn:

It's not the protesters who are nuts. It's those who implemented the policies they are protesting.

Fully agree. What is the local governments feeling on all that BS.

It would be worth 30 days in the hoosgow to pound the shit out of these losers.

Quicksilver 03-06-2008 08:14 PM

Nothing new regarding these kinds of demonstrations.

"those who implemented the policies they are protesting"???
So it's a bad policy to discourage flag burning???
If you think so then you've never done anything to honor our flag and especially done anything meaningful for this country.
