OUCH!!!! new Benz is taking top spot with new ML 63

New car (Q2 06) should have a 6.3 liter, 510hp, naturally aspirated V8.
est. 0-60 in 5 seconds...BMW better be cooking something hot for new X5...

That looks sharp!

I liked the new ML when I went to that MB event to drive the thing. It is VERY expensive, though... Nice looking ride, though.

BMW has a hint which is why they have 4.8 replacing 4.4 and V10 5.0 replacing 4.8, and this time with a ///M badge. I have not driven the new ML yet but heard that it still drives like a truck.

Benz has to do something about that ugly rear on the ML for me to even look at it.

I like exterior of new ML but not interior. I don't know, I like simple X5 interior better.

I had a new ML500 on order, but my MB dealer tried to con me with "factory delay". He had really done a dealer swap with my custom-ordered ML, and tried to lie about it.

Needless to say, I won't be buying any more vehicles from that dealer. The ML would have been my fifth from him. Instead, I opened my eyes a bit wider, and saw the X5.....YES! Much smoother ride, tighter feel, and more luxurious than the ML I test drove.

i think we all agree that the new ML has stepped up the plate and departed from the nasty thing the OG ML was...i dont think MBs will ever drive like BMWs, but one must recognize the engines going into those AMG models are just gargantuas!!!!

I've posted once or twice about wanting the new (hopefully) V8 E90 M3. However, that new engine is something else. According to Autoweek, it's lighter than the 5.5 blower motors in the E55 and SL55, etc. and WAY more powerful. This means, it could even fit in C-class level cars...

:wow:

The potential E65 could give the new M5/M6 a run for the money.
