Yeah, could we now stop our dumb embargo from the 60's???

Hey Carter, how about another boat lift...we could use more prisoners...I mean exiles :wow: ouch. ;)

I was one of those exiles that came over with the prisoners. And can I just tell you that they saved my life. Our boat began to sink and the priosoners helped the woman and children off before it capsized.

Hope things changes because Cuba and the people have soo much to give back to the US i.e. food, music, arts, and women! The women!!:wow:

:iagree: ...I would love to visit Cuba: food, people, sights, and
dive its reefs!

Alas, it ain't gonna happen with the current Defenders against
Evil, in power...

I've been there and it is spectacular - can't wait till it opens up so that I can fly direct from US.

Wagner 02-19-2008 11:23 AM

Well that ends that:

U.S. embargo on Cuba will remain in place despite Fidel Castro's resignation, according to Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte.

The pointlessness continues....GO USA. So does this mean all the rhetoric about how 'we opposed the Castro dictatorship' was really we just don't like Cuba because they aren't our resort?

Amazing >900,000 people dictate the entire policy of a nation. Screw the other 49 states I guess. We have no problems trading with China, Vietnam or Saudi Arabia....but mention Cuba....HELL NO.

I had to laugh today when I heard that the White House has called on Cuba to release all their "political prisoners". I guess they forgot what happened the last time Cuba released all their "political prisoners".
