Well done America

Couldn't keep a secret h'mm.

I see Harry is now on his road home.

AzX5 02-29-2008 12:14 PM

America?

"His presence there had been kept secret from the public in a remarkable deal between the British military and media. But the secret was revealed in two little-noticed articles in an Australian tabloid magazine, and then blasted into the global media spotlight Thursday by the Drudge Report Web site. Harry's deployment immediately became sensational news here, rekindling an emotional debate about whether the red-haired second son of Prince Charles and Princess Diana should be risking his life in war."

America could never keep a secret more that 2 days. The american media has to make money because they do not know how to report "real" news anymore. It's all about the mighty buck$!

Quicksilver 02-29-2008 01:48 PM

How could it be a secret if it was in an Australian tabloid magazine...

Does that mean that we can send over the Bush twins to replace him?

Why do we need to 'send' anyone? Last I heard, we had an all-volunteer armed forces.

Scottie 02-29-2008 02:03 PM

Well according to the British Military High Command it was the Americans that leaked the story.

IMO it was right that he was there leading his men and serving his country however at the same time it is the right to bring him home now that it has been leaked about him serving in the country.

Looking forward to the day that Tony Blairs son goes to fight in the war zones of his fathers and his friend Bush creation. You never know maybe Bush will send his daughters to war.

motordavid 02-29-2008 02:21 PM

Fiona,
Quit picking on us here in the Colonies! ;>)

Boston X5 4.4 02-29-2008 02:23 PM

Harry is just the spare heir anyway ;)

E61Silver 02-29-2008 02:32 PM

The real question is why the British military spent all the time and money training him if he can't fight?

Oh yeah, I forgot that stupid Bush guy invaded Afghanistan for no reason. Any real leader would have invited the Taliban over for some tea.

It was the other country that Bush invaded for little or no reason.

If we had stuck with Afghanistan we would of had the resources to kick butt and win!

How naive does one have to be to still believe that a war can be won in Afganistan??? Iraq??? Grow up and try to learn from the past invasions and their results. Does not matter how many troops, guns, bombs you have. Any attempt to invade a country that falls short of wiping out the entire population of thaty country will be futile.

If we had stuck to Afghanistan we would of had a better chance of controlling the border. It was a safe haven for terrorist and we did have an impact for a short period.

I do agree that the idea of winning is hard to define. Not sure that you can really stop terrorist in a free and open world.
