no need to buy UMD anymore but big memory card such as 2 or 4GB.
I always bring my PSP whenever I go to dealershop :D
it can be web browser, mp3 player, movie player and game machine.

PSP is worth it. Nicole's son has one and his father and I will be confiscating it so we can play God Of War Chains of Olympus. If you know about God of War for PS2, this is basically set before those took place. It will provide a Kratos fix until December 2009 when God of War 3 comes out for PS3 :D

Do it.

I just picked up a PSP for myself over the weekend. What kind of custom firmware upgrade are we talking about? You think you can point me to the right direction? Thanks

Homebrew stuff.

The new slim PSPs can be downgraded to have that application; you can put a lot of games from PSone, Nintendo, etc on your PSP.

You can check Craigslist for hackers; a friend of mine did that recently, and he's quite happy only having spent $20 to hack it.

Hacking isn't that hard. check out www.psp-hacks.com there are tutorials to do this, or you can download one click hack packs.
