Does everyone else notice the difference? Cause If you do I gonna E-mail Wattenberg for his take on why so many would rather use 91 ( Other than the MFG's recommendation)

On regular (87), yes.
On mid-grade (89), no, not with respect to power or fuel economy.

Here we pay 6% more for mid grade, an additional 6% for premium. I choose to save the 6%, not for the monetary value, but on the principle that I don't like waste. If I could detect or measure any difference using mid-grade vs premium, I would use premium.

This is quite common, my understanding is, it is to cut back on credit fraud at the pump. I have noticed almost all 76 gas stations have this auto shut off and so do other stations.

-- One of the gas stations by me is privately owned but a 76 franchise. I like the owners, they are nice guys, but I won't buy gas from them.
Most of the time I am rushing when I have to fill up and don't have time to go in and be bothered with the "here's my cc, lets fill er up"
So the local gas stations that have the $50 shut off are losing my business.

I mentioned it to the guys at the local gas hole but they said it's a corporate thing.. Too bad, I would rather give them my business but not at a constant inconvience.
