This is Lilly, our PomChi (half Pomeranian, half Chihuahua). Three years old now. She has the sweet disposition of the Pom, instead of the nervous yippy personality of the Chi.

Summer? surely you jest... try 2 weeks ago :) Her undercoat is just ridiculous, I could brush her everyday for a week and come away with bags and bags of hair.

Luckily, she's at my parents house in PA most of the time and they get the honor of keeping her hair under control ;)

Great shots Kev,

How old is Heiko now?

I can't take Nikita or Maggie for confirmations.. They both have incorrect bites.. Oh well.

Thank you. Courtesy of the Canon 40D's prowess and a little work by me.

Heiko is almost 7 months old. He's 67.1 pounds as of Thursday and he's all muscle.

shooting dogs with long noses head on is always tough, if you focus between the eyes, the snout is oof, if you focus on the snout, the eyes and head are oof... gotta set the aperture to like f8 or better and pray.. :)

Please don't quote me on this because my vocabulary might be off. But there are "Dog Shows" and their are "Confirmations"

A dog show is where your dog is judged against other breeds in it's class and other dogs in the breed.

A confirmation is where you bring your dog to have it examined by experts of the breed, and they confirm that your dog has the right 'traits' for breeding.

Essentially, I think they are very similar, but one is like a beauty pagent, the other is like a velvet rope at a night club.. LOL..

Since both of my dogs have incorrect bites, (underbites).. They are dogs that you would not want to breed because their offspring is likely to also have incorrect bites. As such, they are not eligible for show and they are not eligible for confimation, as they don't exemplify a flawless model of the breed.

So basically, me and my "special needs" dogs, will just have to go hang with some mutts and sniff some "non flawless butt's." lol..
