Why would you choose an old body style/old motor E46 when you are interested in a 2008 G35? BMW fans I know, but that would make no sense at all from nearly any standpoint.

Buying a car that is about 4 years old instead of a new G35. The 330 is a beautiful ride, but it is old. IMO, I'd go with the 2008 G35.

(BTW: those motors, 3.5 V6, are incredibly easy to mod for power)

He said a used G35 coupe. I'm going to assume like, a 2004-2007 model, not the current one that's out. Not like they're hugely different in looks or equipment.

Old is sometimes better. If I had the choice between a new 335i coupe and a 2004 330ci, I'd take the latter.

I think there is a big difference in the new model.

Well actually I ment the new 2008 G37 Coupe. Which is a new body style and rocks over the old ugly style.

Just the regular 2008 G35 are so much better than 2007 or later years.

I would take an e46 ZHP in a heartbeat over a G35, no contest. Some people are easily amused with the newest gadgets and so on. I am more interested in the overall driving experience and dynamics of the car and lets be honest, Infiniti/Nissan is still chasing BMW with regards to that. Also, there is not a huge styling difference between the old G35 and the new G37, subtle changes. It is more of a refresh IMO than a totally new car. A couple year old BMW is still better than most "new" cars anyway. New is not always better, it is just newer. I think the G35/37 are fine cars, but they do not stir my emoitions like driving a BMW does.

There is only one problem with the G37... it's not a bimmer. :D

Thanks for everyone's comments.

I'm actually looking at a 2004 or 2005 G35. Not the newer G37. I was actually holding out for a Ivory Pearl one but found a 2004 with 30k miles and certified extended warranty. It's silver so it's not my favorite color but this has been the best deal I found.

I actually don't like the G37's subtle changes. I love the looks of the G35 and stock performance is good enough for me until I get the turbo...
