This article shows exactly how to record shows even in HDTV using just your Mac. All you need more is a firewire cable. Mac's don't ever stop ceasing to amaze me :) .

Yea, I always thought that iCal was just amazing, but this is some crazy stuff, esp when combined with a .mac account.
