Opens fine with office mac 2008. Are you sure she even has word ?? Try asking her to "right click" or ctrl click the file and "open with" word ..

No, not sure she even has Word. She didn't respond to my emails (and I don't even know her name). :(

I was just trying to be proactive and look into it in case other Mac users started having the same problem.
