What's your simple pleasure?
This is a carryover question from the Corvette Forum Lounge:
"Corvettes are awesome and fun, but they are expensive. This thread is about... the things you enjoy, that really seem to "make live worth living" that are simple or cheap in nature. What are the little things that really make you happy?" Here's mine: Grabbing a bacon/egg/cheese on rye, the sunday papers, an ice tea and cruising in the vette to the dock at Port Washington NY and hiding out for the morning. |
When I can - getting up around 0400 going to my favorite surf spot wait until it's light and shred some waves. Doesn't cost much except for the drive, but it's what makes me happy when I want to be alone.

The country radio station has listeners call in with their "Simple Pleasures" on Thursdays.
A few of mine: - Walking out of the gym after a good workout :flex: - Coming home to my new house :woot: - Looking at the X after I just finished washing her :bling: - Leaving other cars in the dust when the light turns green :zoom: |

Reading a good book while the seabreeze blows my hair and I hear the waves breaking on the beach Hearing my 4 year old niece tell me she loves me big as she hugs me tight Driving twistie backroads on a spring day with the roof and windows open, listening to Stevie Ray play his heart out |
Here's three:

1. Doing some mountain biking
2. Hitting a stretch of nice bends on an empty road. |

I find that the older I get, the less new things/stuff, fullfill any real longing. Stuff is nice, but Fam,friends and reflecting seem to be a real pleasure these days. A couple three recent "views"...though we have not had a fookin drop of rain here, in more than a month. BoneFreakinDry... BR,mD |
