Picking up the X from the body shop, driving home and packing a bag or two of clothes and shoes, dropping off Lilly at the kennel in the morning, then heading south in a nip/tucked Danica to meet up with my family in the Outer Banks! :zoom:

Looking forward to spending the next five days by the pool and ocean working on getting as tan as my fair skin will allow!

I showed some of the guys at the TriState Meet last month the rust issue I am dealing with on both of the doors on the passenger side.

Since they are a result of a prior repair that wasn't done by BMW (before I owned her), BMW cannot fix them under their rust warranty. I was referred to Mark's Body Shop for the repair.

When you look down the side of both doors, there is a little bit of flex/dimple marks above the rust on the doors. They also fixed that.

Here are two pictures. Both are of the front door. The rear door doesn't have any rust popping through yet; just the bubbly stuff.

I talked to the shop owner yesterday and he said it was a mess when they got into it. I'm hoping they took some pictures -- I forgot to ask them to.
