Crock o crap
http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/06/30/bac...mbs/index.html
You bought your land on the cheap because it was a prior military shooting/bombing zone. Then you complain because you were not adequately warned...so where does your responsibility start?? :) |
Are we talking the public who bought the houses, or the builders?
If we're talking the public and you didn't live in the area or knew it's history then how would you know? |
Builder first of, then the buyer...but by no means the Fed Govt.
|
Well i guess until it is found out who really knew what and when
it will languish in the courts and the homeowners will bite the financial bullet. |
Oh, this is a mess down here, but actually the homeowners, who did not buy on the cheap, have every right to be enraged, because certainly either the laws that would reflect prior usage (as a bombing range) do not exist....if Lennar's (a company which buys vast amounts of land on an annual basis) acquisition people saw nothing on a title search, then they are not in the wrong. And the fact that it is "well known" to have been a bombing range means nothing to an out of town corporate land buyer...I certainly had never heard of this bombing range until the story broke.
It just sucks for the homeowners. |
