Birds in my attic
Ok this is NOT a joke. I am going to be posting picture and show where they got in. I don't care what kind they are but one thing I know they are creating a mess on the drive way by dropping their $hit constantly.
I tried closing the Soffit between the outside wall and the fascia/roof (as they used it to gain entrance) only to find out they managed to loosen it again and get inside once more. Today I saw a blue egg smashed on the drive way. I don't think the bird are nesting anymore and they don't create a racket but it is annoying never the less. I would take snakes or a squirrels in the bedroom any day over these pesky flying $hitting on the driveway birds. |
the extermination company in my area deals with this stuff all the time, they know how to "wall off" the holes, maybe the local guys in your area can help?

Mick,
I understand your situ now, but I just don't get how the birds loosen/remove the soffit when you reattach it? I realize it is no fun up there on a ladder, but I'd call the siding/gutter guy and have him reattach the soffit properly. I would think that would keep them out and there doesn't seem to be another ledge for them to linger on... We have about 2 dozen freakin bats in our attic...I rescreened one triangle eves vent, but the others are v. hard to get to from inside the attic and near impossible outside, unless I could levitate and flutter in place, for repair, lol! GL on the fix, but that sumbitch looks fixable... BR,mD |
