Mobile Video Eyewear ?

A couple of times, I have thought of buying a pair. I even tried on the Brookstone model.

here's the thing, I always travel with my video Ipod and catch up on some of my favorite tv shows, movies, etc. But I hate having to hold the Ipod or trying to find a way to mount it to the seat back with the clip case.

So I have given thought to buying a set. I've never actually seen anyone using a pair. Of course they look stupid, but if I'm sitting on a 5hr. flight to New York, who wants to hold an Ipod and look at that small screen. I want comfort.

I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with one. Are they junk? Would you wear one on a plane, despite looking stupid?
Do they drain the Ipod battery?
Do they break easy?

You don't know anyone on the plane, who cares about looking stupid etc as long as they work well. HD lol? They should move the cord to the back by the ears. I can see it hitting your face if you recline.

I think they would be Titz, dork looking or not, if
they really gave good pic.

You young wealthy/gizmo/tech guys should cop a
pair and give us a consumer report!

i-Glasses Video are hi-res lcd's (1.44m pixel) that look great but need a battery pack for travel.

Beware of low-res models!

Vizux AV920-c are 640x480 (or about 900,000 pixel) which is tolerable.

LOL!

Next question will be: How to transfer Porn movies into the iPod! LOL

zerochief 07-09-2008 08:22 PM

Any DVD can be transfered to an iPod via Handbrake http://handbrake.fr/ or DVD2Pod http://dvd2pod.en.softonic.com/mac. Various other programs are also available for Windows users. BTW Handbrake has the ability to make high quality mp4 files. DVD2Pod is limited.
