Clarksville/Nashville, TN help?
 

We are going to be heading to Clarksville, TN on Sunday for an AAU basketball tournament. I figured we'll dump some of the group (and the player) with others and head out to do other things. Since it's only 45min from Nashville, I was hoping to head there for at least one day. The problem is that I will have an 8 year old with me. Do you have any suggestions for places to go in Clarksville/Nashville with an 8 year old? Where's the best shopping? Any good museums for kids?

Along the same lines, we'll be heading straight from Clarksville to the Outer Banks and plan to go I-40 all the way across. That means we'll be on I-40 for a LOOOONG time. We'll be making that trip on a Saturday and Sunday so hopefully traffic won't be an issue. Is there anything I should be aware of along I-40?

Should be fun to take the X5 through all the new areas and go sightseeing!

Great place to take an 8 year old in Nashville is the Adventure Science Center.

Your best mall would probably be Opry Mills... retail outlets including Ann Taylor, Nike, Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5TH, the Gap and Old Navy, plus Dave & Busters, the Aquarium Restaurant and other attractions for the kid.
