B-Line,

I have NOTHING against you or carry baggage from another thread!!

Also, I'm not a dog or a pet person, never was and never will be. The dog thread was just to make a point, and I'm aware you weren't the only person involved in that thread.

I just hope that you don't "attack" people based on what you believe in.
If you gave me your point of view without degrading my point of view and saying things like "I wouldn't even know where to begin attacking such a nonsensical statement", then I would've happily respected your entitlement to your thoughts on it. I believe that one of many ways I better myself is through learning from others' thoughts and their perspectives, no matter how radical and different they may seem, and in retrospect, I think we could've had a friendly discussion on the topic without making a scene like we're still in grade school.
One has to show respect for others' views in order for them to accept his/her view as well, becuase there really is no right or wrong answer on topics that frequently appear on the lounge.

Sorry for the hijack mrkbbd.

As for the OP, I agree with everyone else on the Tag... specially for the budget.

:)I'm not a teenager, though I wish I were, seeing how my hair's already thinning and showing a male pattern baldness.:D

Be careful who you get it from though...

Jomashop doesn't rate well

http://reviews.pricegrabber.com/jomashop/r/2046/
etc.

ALTHOUGH they have fantastic reviews on Yahoo! :dunno: Click the Yahoo! feedback link on their page http://www.jomashop.com/tag-heuer.html

I have owned Heuers since I was 13, I still think they keep better time than my Rolex or Breitling (although I have never owned an automatic Heuer)...I love how they have been bringing back some of their classic watch lines and IMO none are more elegant and sporty than the Carrera and the Monaco (you should be able to find one for under $1,500):

IMO, for around $1000, quartz movement is probably the way to go for your friend. You can get an automatic, but I found it becomes less accurate if not worn every day or every other day. And mechanical movement proves its real worth in a high-end products.

How about a bvlgari carbongold? They're limited and hard to find but they're worth their price range ($1200-$1400) to me. I don't know if it comes in a women's size though.
