NO Gas in ATL?

So - my friends from ATL said there's no gas in ATL and most of the stations are closed? What's the deal?

$$$$$$$$$$$

That is the deal. Amazing isn't it, the gov can work up over 300M to send to the country of Georgia, but can't send a dollar to the state to get it fuel.

Charlotte, NC too.

I know someone that drove around for 3 hours to find a gas station that still had gasoline and then they had to wait 1.5 hours in line. :(

Some have been paying $6.99 a gallon for racing fuel. That must be interesting... :zoom:

They are supposed to get a large shipment today (Friday).

I heard it has to do with decreased supply, unable to meet the requirements of all the different mixtures/blends/addititive requirements in various areas.

Wait what? WTF is going on here? And I thought it was bad when stations around here were only selling 87 because it was costing them "too much" to buy all three grades.

WHAT? nice.

There has been a shortage or about a week. I waiting in line for 20 minutes the other day just for 87, the only grade left. I was able to find premium the other day. From my experience, I would say about 75%+ of the gas stations were out adn the ones that had gas were jam packed with cars. It is getting a little better though.

I think the reason Atlanta had it so bad was because we require a cleaner burning fuel than most surrounding cities and due to the recent storms, supply was limited. The local gov't just temporarily lowered the standards for our fuel to help ease the situation. Apparently it takes longer to process the cleaner burning fuels, so they are shipping in the other fuel at a faster rate.

:iagree: Gas prices at my local station were down. $3.89/gallon to $3.83/gallon within the past few days.

Apparently our area is supplied by pipes from the Texas area and because of recent storms, supply is down? :dunno:
