What is pagead2.googlesyndication.com?
 

A couple weeks ago, my browser started showing http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com everytime I hit the back button on threads. I know this has to do with google advertisement, but is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a way to prevent this from interfering with the enjoyment of this site? I have to hit the back button at least twice to get back to the front page...more times if I view multiple page threads.

Do you have ad blocker software? I think it maybe an ad trying to display but your ad blocker is blocking it (as it should). Don't know a fix or how to circumvent it as I think it's Google ads. If I find a solution I'll post it.

I was experiencing something similar to this but it stopped by itself. I didn't notice if the url was related to googlesyndication.com though.

yup its getting annoying! needs more than 2 clicks to get to the previous page.

I haven't had this problem yet, but the funny thing is that when I clicked the url link in the posts it pulls up a blank page wit "nothing to see here" in the top left corner... weird...

Unfortunately (or fortunately?), the current solution is to stop using Internet Explorer. Firefox is better anyway. Just make sure you get the IE Tab for those few pages that need IE.

I use IE and it doesn't happen to me.

I've been experiencing the same thing but figured it was my machine. I guess now that you mention it I now realize it is only happening on this site.
