Just got back from 12th annual (Hunterdon) BMW Ultimate Drive® supporting Susan G. Komen for the Cure........... its a great cause.... here are some pictures...... My favorite drive was the 550i.. its a "BEAST" I wish I could of took the picture of the guy in the X6 5.0 when I flew by him ....priceless :rofl:

I got a couple friends to sign up for the event in Charlottesville, VA on 13 Nov. Sadly, it appears only the Z4 and M cars are available with a proper gearbox. I hope all the cars arent beige leather with light burl wood trim ;puke;

From what I hear, the actual rules are kinda lax in terms of what car you can drive, right? If someone signs up for one or two, but has time to do more, are they permitted to do so given availability?

We've done it (granted I've been stuck in right seat saleschump position) for the last 8 or 9 years (since the X came out) and never reserved a single car. If the weathers good, you might not get a 'vert, but we've never had trouble getting the good cars (except the ones they don't bother bringing to maine)

PS, in years past, they have all been silver on black, and well equipped IMO. I remember in 2003, one of the girls working had never driven stick, so one of the guys took a 330xi sport package and taught her.

Today they had all the models to drive except the M series.... they had from 135 conv. all 3 series, 5 series (includ. the 550i), 6 series, (conv. too) 7 series, z4, X3, x5, x6........ you could drive one and when you come back just jump into any other that are available, they were very relaxed about everything,...:thumbup:

Someone posted on E46fanatics a few weeks ago that the M3 has a blown tranny and will be out for a while. :saad:
